38th Annual Meeting of the Association of Deans and Directors of University Colleges and Undergraduate Studies CALL FOR SESSION PROPOSALS “Responsive. Relevant. Resilient: Navigating Change in the Undergraduate Landscape”
In preparation for the upcoming 38th Annual Meeting of the Association of Deans and Directors of University Colleges and Undergraduate Studies (AD&D), which will be held April 9-12, 2025, the association is pleased to issue a Call for Session Proposals.
AD&D aims to create a robust dialogue that empowers attendees to lead their institutions toward a successful and sustainable future. In an era when technological advancements, shifting demographics, and evolving student expectations continuously reshape the higher education landscape, higher education administrators must lead with agility and foresight. This conference will highlight strategies for building resilience, articulating relevancy, and remaining nimble in a time of incredible change. Join us to explore the multifaceted strategies institutions can employ to survive and thrive in the face of change.
Presenters are encouraged to share insights on one of the following:
- Innovative initiatives
- Student-centered approaches
- Technological integrations
- Community engagement
- Leadership and governance models
- Visions for the future of undergraduate education

Evaluation Criteria: Proposals will be rated on the following criteria:
- The proposal provides a clear picture of what to expect during the session, including how presenters will elicit dialogue with the audience about project relevance and implications.
- The proposed learning objectives are realistic and achievable.
- The proposal should represent diverse perspectives.
- The proposal demonstrates presenters’ knowledge of and experience with the topic, including relevant methodologies, sources of evidence, and/or literature.
- The proposal highlights specific findings and conclusions and their relevance to the university college environment.
- All presenters should be confirmed by date of submission.
Session Proposal Guidelines: We encourage the inclusion of substantial audience discussion within sessions. Although we expect that many presentations will fit well within traditional formats (e.g., breakout session, best practices session, or facilitated discussion), please feel free to propose alternative ways to communicate your work. We are especially looking for ways to involve participants through thought-provoking, reflective conversations related to key ideas and issues raised during your session.
