Dear AD&D Colleagues, I’m thrilled to serve as your Secretary and Treasurer for the 2025-2026 year. Thank you sincerely for your support, your confidence, and for not asking me to campaign with karaoke or an interpretive dance performance – you all better for having not experienced either type of presentation from me. Serving in this role is both a privilege and a responsibility I take to heart (and spreadsheet). I’ve spent the last two-and-a-half decades working across enrollment, academic operations, advising, student success, and libraries – from launching new forms of advising, and coordinated care systems, to fiscal stewardship involving grants, fundraising, and sponsored programming. As someone who started as a first-generation college student, I carry a deep appreciation for the power of opportunity and for the people and institutions who make it real. This is why I believe so strongly in the Association of Deans and Directors of University Colleges and Undergraduate Studies (AD&D). Our community is where ideas meet action, and where laughter and learning can share the same agenda. My goal as your Secretary and Treasurer is to bring clarity to our financials, advance opportunities to grow our membership and sponsorship collaborations, offer transparency, and maybe even share a few Excel formulas that bring joy (yes, it’s possible—I promise). Most of all, I look forward to learning from each of you. Whether at the Annual Meeting, through committee work, or in conversations about the benefits of AD&D and why you will want to renew your membership and encourage colleagues to join and become active members. I’m excited to engage and continue to ensure that our association remains a place where creativity, rigor, and community thrive together. Let’s do great, bold work together – and have fun doing it. With appreciation and in partnership, |
